Raunee Page Sumner Scott was born here in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 28, 1977. She is the first-born daughter of Suzanne Long and Theron Leland Sumner. Her younger sister, Bethany Crystal was born a year later. Her parents divorced when she was 3, and soon after, Hans Pollesche became her step-father. She lived in Sandy Utah until 1988 when her family moved to Las Vegas Nevada. She graduated in 1996 from the newly built Cimarron/Memorial High School.

She married her sweetheart, Christopher Dwayne Scott for time and all eternity in the Las Vegas Temple on June 14, 1997. Raunee’s main goal in life was to be a great wife and mother, and what a success she was. This started with Brandon Christopher Scott, who was born on February 22, 1999. Second, Alexandria Ranee Scott, born February 9, 2002, and third, Alayna Christene Scott, born June 21, 2005, all born in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lastly was Cayson Elliot Scott, born on September 19, 2007, in Denver, Colorado.

Raunee always had a smile on her face. She knew that failure was not an option. Raunee was willing to try anything, no matter how big the task and she always tried to do her best.

Raunee earned her associate’s degree and started her career at Granger Medical Clinic as a medical biller and coder. She loved her work, especially the people that surrounded her at work and the friends she made. Raunee was always curious and wanted to learn all she could.

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many capacities. Before she was married, Raunee served a mini-mission for 3 months to Alamo and Caliente in Northern Nevada.

Raunee slipped peacefully into the eternities on May 25, 2020. Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Maples Second Ward, at 6592 Haven Maple Dr., West Jordan, Utah. She will be buried at Larkin Sunset Cemetery at 1950 East 10600 S., Sandy, Utah.

You will be missed by all that knew you. Such a kind spirit. I will never forget our talks and epic foosball tournaments. Your family is in my prayers. Even though I feel God took you too soon. I know God doesn't make mistakes. And there is no doubt in my mind that you are smiling in heaven.
