La Verkin, Utah. Randall Holt Bowler, 73, went home to be with our mommy on April 18, 2026, at 17:43.
He was born on November 20, 1952, to Lorna Jane Jones and Elwood Holt Bowler in Sacramento, California. After his little brother, Charlie, was born, the four of them moved to Fallon, Nevada where Randy and Charlie were given three more siblings, Dena, Steve, and Lornel. In Fallon, Randall started school while his dad started Forum Barber Shop. Before long, they had moved to Cedar and welcomed the last of their six children, Kenny, then on to Gunlock they went. The family had businesses along the way such as, Bowlers Café and Spud Nut Shop and the western store in St. George where our Dad would help out before and after school. He attended and graduated from Dixie High School while working at Jolly King and graduated from Dixie College while working at Newby Chevron Station. Always a hard-working man, passing all tests with flying colors, earned him the nick name “ACE”. Working hard and doing things right the first time, was what he passed on to all of us.
Randall met Tanna in St. George, Utah, in 1973 where they fell in love and married on November 29, 1974. They were a fast growing family having three daughters, Gayle, Kandy and Patricia.
Our Dad loved all of his jobs, Airplane Mechanic, Engineer on trains like the Burlington Northern, Sargeant E5 in the Army National Guard, 222nd in Demolitions – nuclear, biological and chemical, a non commissioned officer keeping his battery alive by knowing the flow of the wind to keep radiation from troops whom he loved like his own family, and quality control at Steel Structures where he passed that to his son-in-law, Timothy. But watching his daughters grow into women and giving them their beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren was the highlight of our parents lives. They were the best team. The best parents we could have got. He was exactly the Daddy we asked for. He was all of our Heros and the wind beneath our wings.
He is survived by his three daughters, Gayle Bowler, Kandy Bowler (Mark), and Patricia Roberts (Timothy); 9 grandchildren, Michael (Elissa), Junior (Shalyn), Mercadies (Ricky), Makyla (Tec), Randy, Jaycie, Daniel (Madisyn), Elijah (Riley), and Jakobe’; his 16 great-grandchildren, Raees’, Tonya, Khloe, Levi, Dominix, Dante, Dohlia, Damon, Adilyn, Raylyn, Thea, Aurora, Rayna, Oliver, Jovanney, and Emilliano; his mother, Lorna Muir; one brother, Charlie Bowler (Barbara); one sister, Dena Simister (Jim); and his best friend, Guy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elwood Holt Bowler; two brothers, Kenny and Steve; one sister, Lornell; his wife of 47 years, Tanna; his first born grandson, Levi Ray; and his precious great-granddaughter, Lil’mm.
We would like to thank Dixie Regional for keeping our Daddy comfortable as he went home to our Mommy and many other loved ones waiting for him.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. We will keep you posted as the day grows near.
Thank you all for the prayers, Dad loved you all.
