Ralph O Goodrich

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle

passed away due to heart complications at Intermountain Medical Center in

Murray, Utah on Friday September 24th, 2021. Ralph was born November 29th, 1941 to Owen and Lois Benson Goodrich in Roosevelt Utah. On September 7th, 1962, Ralph married the love of his life, Geneil Marie Lemon, sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan Utah Temple.

Ralph was a hard worker all his life, working as a surveyor early on in Idaho

and Utah and for a short time at Diehl Lumber Company. Ralph then moved on to Wheeler Machinery where he worked as a forklift driver. Ralph finally found his place at Litton Systems now Northrop Grumman. Ralph worked there from 1962 to 1976 then took one year sabbatical where he entertained buying into the Ace Hardware store in Sandy. Ralph decided that going back to Litton in 1977 was a better option and remained there until 2013. Ralph spent almost all his 62 years there as a Lead Supervisor.

Ralph loved trying little hobbies from raising rabbits to selling brine shrimp.

Ralph also found a ton of joy in working hard and helping others. He was able to attain his insurance brokers license as well as his real estate license, he worked in real estate for 41 years. Ralph loved everyone he met and seemed to be able to form a special connection while leaving quite an impression on folks, he was someone you could talk with for hours.

Ralph was an avid trap shooter, traveling several different places for

competition and always did very well. Ralph helped organize the annual Northrop Grumman Turkey Shoot even long after he retired. Ralph always included his kids, grandkids, and friends that wanted to join in, it was always such a great time.

Ralph loved meeting his good friends at the Magna or Salt Lake Gun Clubs for friendly competitions.

Ralph lived an exemplary life, he had several callings, and served in service

when called upon. Ralph loved and lived the Gospel. He served for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as a Venture Scout Leader. Ralph served in the Elders Quorum Presidency, The Sunday School Presidency, High Priest Group Leader and Sunday School Teacher. Ralph also served in the Young Men’s Presidency.

Ralph was also given the Governor’s Award by Governor Huntsman for The

Executive Certificate of Global Business Management.

Ralph is preceded in death by his parents Owen and Lois Benson Goodrich.

Ralph is Survived by his wife Geneil Goodrich, and his 5 children and spouses.

Snarr (fiancé Brooke Fleenor) Emerson Snarr, Christian Snarr, Courtney Carlson (fiancé Daniel Garcia),Damien Liest, Dominic Garcia, Cassandra Garcia, Chloe Garcia, Aubrey Goodrich, Bryce Goodrich, Rhiannon Goodrich, Paige Goodrich, Shelby Borrowman, Owen Borrowman, Aria Borrowman, Chloe Goodrich, Oakley Goodrich (fiancé Chandler Ortez-Laroque) Asher Ortez-Laroque, Jayden Goodrich, Cheyenne and Jeremias Arnold, Shalie and Statton Isaacson, Bryton Isaacson, Sierra Carlson, Calista Carlson.

Ralph was the most generous, kind person and gave great advice, told great stories and jokes. Ralph had a great sense of humor, he loved to laugh, especially at his own jokes.

Ralph will be missed beyond measure. We loved him so deeply. Rest in Peace until we meet again.

    I will always remember Ralph shooting at the gun club when I was a kid. He was a great friend to my dad, Ken, and he always made it a point to be nice to me and tease me. So greatful for Ralph and his frindship with my dad. So sorry for your loss.
