Luppy was born on October 5, 1983, in Murray, Utah. He was an incredibly talented artist, even as a young child. He has always been a free spirit and spent 10 years traveling across the country by train. He was a friend to everyone he met. No matter where he was or who he was with, he knew how to have a great time. Every one of his siblings looked up to him. He was funny, smart, sensitive, brave, and truly the coolest person you would ever meet. He loved music of all kinds and played in several punk rock bands throughout his life. He lived a carefree lifestyle, but also cared deeply about everyone in his life.

I'm sad to have stumbled upon this obituary for Phillip. We shared a class in Jr. High, and had similar interests in music and skateboarding at the time. I looked up to him like an older brother. He was just such a funny/kind/cool guy, and being a year younger, it felt cool just to be in his orbit. I have often thought about him and wondered how he was doing. He will be missed. My condolences.
