She was born on July 15, 1950, in Arcata, California to Walter and Florence Ewell, the third of eight children. She met her future husband while attending Hillcrest High School in Midvale, Utah and graduated from the University of Utah in Elementary Education.

She married Curtis Lynn Doman on August 24, 1971, in the Salt Lake Temple.

A kindergarten teacher for over 20 years, she taught at Challenger and Crestview Elementary schools. She absolutely loved children and had a gift for teaching young children to read.

Her ultimate goal in life was creating memories with family and friends. She loved to have fun and bring joy to others, especially her grandchildren. Christmas was a special time of year in the Doman household.

From running marathons, to biking the pacific coast, to skydiving, she was always looking for the next adventure.

Peggy loved sewing. She sewed her children’s clothes and created quilts, enough for all her children and grandchildren to have one. She made beautiful blessing dresses for her granddaughters. She was an artist, full of creativity. After she retired from teaching, she returned to college and earned a degree in computer graphic design. She used her degree to write and illustrate three children’s books.

She was a woman of faith. Throughout her many trials in life, she relied on her testimony. She taught her children to trust the Spirit.

Peggy was an example of unconditional love. She raised her children with love and taught them to realize their own self worth. She was a giver, which was manifested in her extreme Christmasing.

Survived by her mother Florence Ewell and her four children: Curt (Alisa), Scott (Shari), Rulon (Kris) and Beckie (Roberto) Santos. She has 10 grandchildren: Morgan, Tyler, Ethan, Brooklyn, Andrew, Emilee, Rulon, Katherine, Kora and Henry.

I grew up being friends with Peggy’s younger sister Pamela. This meant that my family and the Ewell family were the best of friends. Fishing, camping, and hanging around each other was the norm. I’ll always remember Peggy being the pretty older sister. She made our slumber parties so fun with all the games she played with us. I loved Peggy and I loved her family!!!💜
