Patsy "Patty" Evelyn McKee Lathrop

Jun 7, 1951 Oct 30, 2021

Patty passed away on October 30th, 2021, after an enjoyable evening with family & friends celebrating Halloween. Born to Clyde and Pauline McKee on June 7, 1951. She married her "One True Love" George (Wayne) Lathrop on Sept. 10, 1971. They were blessed with 2 wonderful children that their world revolved around, Son George (Bubba) & Daughter Heather. Patty & Wayne welcomed, loved, and treated as their own, friends of their children throughout their lifetime.

If you knew our affectionate “Poody”, you discovered a beautiful soul with a generous heart of gold behind her sassy personality, colorful language, and her tactics in keeping friends & family at shoulder length. She adored having family & friends in her home. Never a shortage of coffee or Coke-a-Cola or great conversations, but a risk of love filled pestering. Aunt Patty would debate which was better between “Coke & Pepsi” with her nephew Bobby, during his visits or daily phone calls. She had a special place in the hearts of all her nieces and nephews.

Poody cherished and lived for being a loving mom and grandma, not only to her own, but to all! This love was elevated with her first great-grandson, Vinny. This little guy had her wrapped around his finger.

A special thank you to her closest friends; June, John, Marie & "Wingman", for their years of love & devotion.

Patty is survived by her children Heather (Beau) Beynon, Teena (Adam) White, Son in law Ellis Maxwell; grandchildren Hailie, Meckenzy (Marcus), Saige (Brandon), Kaden (Janessa), Emma, Alex, Braxton & Blayke; great grandchildren Vinny, Kali, & Jett; siblings Grem (Linda), George (Georgia), Jeanne (Bill), Jackie (Robert), Pat, Lorilee, Frank (Carol) & Ervin (Aimee); Numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband Wayne, son Bubba, Parents. mother and father-in-law, brothers Pixie & Judd, Sister Connie, and nephew Ryan.
