Patricia D. Sommer, age, 79, passed away on July 8, 2021 in West Valley City, Utah. She was born on April 8, 1942 in Clear Creek, Utah to Melvin E. Jones, Sr. and Doris T. Jones. She married Henry N. Sommer in February 1973.
Pat was a stay-at-home mom until her kids got into high school, when she helped her husband open his own trucking company; which has since been passed on to their son, Joe. She enjoyed going “on the road” with Joe and seeing a bit of the country.
Mom said, “In lieu of flowers, send LOTS of flowers.”
She is survived by her husband, Neil Sommer; daughter, Lacey Sommer; sons, Joseph Sommer and Barry Sommer; and her daughter-in-law, Nga Nguyen.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 2:30 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1510 West Parliament Avenue in West Valley City, Utah. A private interment will be held at a later date.
