Noreen Ann Goudge passed away peacefully, reuniting with her “huggy bear” and forever Valentine, Jerry on February 14, 2021. Noreen was born in Portland, Oregon on January 15, 1937 to Fred Oscar Milton Deaton and Florence Leehna. Noreen married Robert Carl Vance Jr, on August 3, 1956 in Elko, Nevada, later divorced. She married the love of her life, Jerry Goudge on October 7, 1971 in Draper, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity on April 3, 1976. Noreen had a strong testimony and love of the Savior and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings in the church, but loved teaching the Sunbeams the most. She truly loved all the people in her ward. They were like family to her. She enjoyed being an avid fisherman's wife and loved to go trolling with Jerry and their children and grandchildren on Strawberry, Currant Creek and Scofield Reservoirs and who could forget “no” Fish Lake. She was great at keeping a straight face when Jerry would “slightly'' exaggerate the size of the fish he caught during any of their many fishing trips. As much as she enjoyed the outdoors, she also loved dressing up for any occasions and had a great fashion sense, in which she took pride in. She loved all of her children and grandchildren dearly. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Jerry, stepdaughter Cindy, grandson Kenneth and her beloved cat Bootsy. She leaves behind: Eight children and stepchildren, Kathy (the late Clarence) Fogel, Mark (Cindy) Goudge, Carolyn (Ricky) Sapp, David (Denise) Vance, Janeen (Jack) MacDonald, Michael (Laurel) Vance, Eric (Nadia) Vance, Eddie (Jennifer) Egbert; 31 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Alta View Hospital. Noreen missed Jerry dearly and knowing she has been reunited with him gives the family peace. She will be deeply missed. She was a woman like no other and an amazing wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend; An example of all that is good and right with the world.
