I was shocked and saddened to hear of Myrna's passing. It wasnt that long ago that I visited her in Delta. She was a dear friend and co-worker at the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office and as members of the Sheriff's Mounted Posse. She found for me my first home about a block from her house in South Jordan and we would share horse babysitting duties. She built her own barn and I was always very impressed with her skill and initiative!! She was such an uplifting lady to be around and I loved her dearly.

Myrna was a great friend to have. She and I were on the same shift at the jail for 6 years, and I learned a lot from her. She was unique in that although she worked in a jail, she was one of the few people in that hell hole that didn't swear. The most she'd say was hell or damn, but that's about it. My wife, Aida, got to know her because Myrna's daughter, Lisa, served an LDS mission to the Philippines and also married a Filipino (Aida is from there). She actually like working in the jail, and loved being in the Mounted Posse. She was also a reserve deputy, as was I. Myrna will be sorely missed.

I will always remember Myrna for her kindness to me when I started working at the Jail. She was a kind soul.
I loved Myrna, she was the greatest friend and colleague. I will never forget how great she was to work with or how nice she was as a friend. She always had a smile and a friendly comment to make that would make your day. She will truly be a missed

Myrna was one of the best Sergeants I had the pleasure to work for. She was a wonderful lady, and a great officer and supervisor.
Enjoyed working with her prayers and positive vibes to you all

So sad to hear of her passing. We were friends for over forty years and shared many laughs and tears together in our time at the Sheriff's Office. One of the best memories is from a training in the old Metro Hall of Justice when the trainer misread her name tag and called her Myron. We laughed about that every time we spoke from then on. The world has lost some of its sunshine with her leaving us but Heaven has truly gained an angel. Rest in well-deserved peace, my dear friend.
