Miguel Angel Pineda

Our big brother, Miguel Angel Pineda, 26, passed away on September 6th, 2025. Miguel was born on December 18th, 1998, to Estela De La Rosa and Willyams Jaimes Pineda in St. George, UT. Miguel, referred to as Mege "Me-Geh" by family and friends, is survived by his pup Baxter, his mother Estela Bernal, his father Willyams Jaimes Pineda, his step-father Victor Bernal, his sisters: Adriana Pineda, Marylu Pineda, Sophia Jaimes, Yasmin Bernal, his brothers: Jorge Pineda, Victor Jr. Bernal, his grandparents: Maria Reyna Luera, Manuel De La Rosa, Carmen & Victor Bernal, Maria Pineda; his many many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, nieces and nephews.

Miguel loved running and was preparing for his first full marathon on October 4th. He had found a new passion and love for running and spent months preparing for this race. He also began Jiu Jitsu at Fusion on Sunset. He quickly found a place of belonging and brotherly love that invited him to become the best version of himself. Mege was a family man, always punctual, extremely hardworking, soft spoken, artistic, brotherly, easy to talk to, loving and easy to love. His favorite movie was Silence of the Lambs, his favorite artists include Laufey, Mac Miller, Bob Marley, Chalino Sanchez. He loved to draw and create art using any and every medium he connected with. Miguel was the lead foreman of Bernal Concrete and was in the process of purchasing the company to take over operations. He spent his days surrounded by his friends, brothers, family and community sharing his light and love with all.

Miguel Angel was named after the archangel Michael Angelo, our protector. He spent his life protecting and guiding his younger siblings to ensure that they did not endure what he did. He was the strongest of us all, the peacemaker, the fearless defender. There wasn't a time when Miguel didn't love or serve his family. Even through the hardships life had for him he was strong and did not falter from his responsibilities as our big brother. He continues to protect and shine his light and love on all of us from heaven as our guardian angel. Through him we find strength to conquer our fears, reconcile our differences and love patiently.

In honor of our brother and son, Miguel Angel Pineda, a closed casket public viewing will be held from 5-7PM on Thursday, September 18th @ Spilsbury Mortuary (110 S Bluff St, St. George, UT 84770).
