Michael “Mike” James Stelling passed away at the age of 81 peacefully at his home on August 1, 2021. He was born on August 19, 1939 in Park City, Utah to Mike and Mary Stelling. He moved to West Jordan at a young age and graduated from Jordan High School in 1957. Mike married his soulmate, Geraldine Robison, on July 15, 1961.
He loved his family, especially the grandchildren and never missed an activity or event. He enjoyed sports, and helping kids learn. He had a nickname for everyone!! He loved hunting pheasants in Idaho with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Geri, son Bob (Brooke), grandchildren: Jessica (Chase), Chase (Chris), Brennan (Beckie), Tatum, and great grandchildren: Paisley, Grant, and Maddux, and sister, Lorraine Zaremba.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Patricia Thomas, and brother-in-law George Zaremba.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123. Interment will follow.

I love this man. For 5 years he was my boss at Burt's Foodland in West Jordan when I was 12-17. He was also my friend and coach and brother-in-law. There was never a dull moment around Michael. His nickname for me was TANK. He gave that to me after watching me score a touchdown playing football for Bingham High School. He said I was slow as a Tank. One of the memorable phrases he used when you made a mistake. He'd say, "Smooth move Exlax!"
