Michael D. Ostler was born on June 9th, 1951 to Darrold and Ina Ostler in Orem, Utah. He attended Orem High and BYU. Michael was sealed to Deborah Ivie Hundley in the St. George Temple on October 9th, 1978. They were later divorced in October of 2009. Together, they raised five children – three preceded him in death – Jayson R., Ryan James, and Brittany Michelle. Michael is survived by Melissa Ostler-Howa and her husband Shayne Howa, Colby Ostler and his fiancé Destanee Jacobsen. Michael leaves behind ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Michael was a very talented man. He was a pilot and professional musician. He loved adventure and challenges, he was hard working and had a “think outside of the box” outlook on life that created success – a gift he passed on to his family.

The celebration of Michael’s life will be at the Manila Park Pavilion, 1550 North 280 West in Pleasant Grove, Utah on Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 at 11:00 AM.

I remember Michael as being very musically talented. I also attended Orem High School and was in his class. So sorry to hear of his passing.
