South Jordan, Utah -

Michael Kayle Olsen, 30 years Old, resided in South Jordan, UT, sadly left us on February 14th 2023. He is survived by his son’s Landyn Carter Cassity and Cain Griffin Olsen. His mother, Kay Anne Barney, siblings, Brittany Olsen, Megan Olsen, and Eric Barney.

Michael was born in West Valley City, UT and lived in Taylorsville, UT the majority of his youth until his mid-20’s. He loved to read books and was so smart, he never had to study for a test. He was really good at math too, it came natural to him like his grandfather, Kayle Olsen. He liked to play chess and was very competitive. He really liked to play basketball too and video games. He enjoyed watching WWE wrestling and pretended to wrestle people with pillows. He was a popular kid and made friends with so many people. When he got older that didn’t change, he had a good heart and wanted to get along with everyone and that’s why he had so many friendships. The love that he had for his two sons was unconditional and he was so proud to be their father.

Michael’s laugh was infectious, you couldn’t not laugh with him. He was loud and outgoing, that’s what made him who he was. He really loved to sing! Music brought him joy, he would listen to it everyday. Violin music really hit his soul and would make him tear up for how beautiful the sound was. If there was a new movie, TV show, music video coming out, he would know right away and he’d show you first hand. His outgoing spirit had an impact on so many people’s lives. Everywhere he went he made a new friend, it didn’t matter where you came from he accepted everyone. Michael will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all that knew him.
