Melva passed away in her home on April 28, 2023 surrounded by family. She was born on September 7, 1936 to William and Lois Bell in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Melva enjoyed writing poetry and reading mystery stories. She also enjoyed comedies and playing board games. Melva loved music from the 50’s and early 60’s, once attending a Liberace Concert. This helped inspire her to learn and play the piano.

She loved the Lord, belonging to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survived by her loving husband Bruce Clark; seven children Douglas Clark, Steven Clark, Terri Averett, Cindy Clark, Pamela Brockmeier, Thomas “Tom” Clark, Gerald “Jerry” Clark. Along with 13 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents William Melvin Bell and Lois Ervy Paxton Bell; her sister Stella Mary Foster; and brother William Paxton Bell.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 8th at 2:00 PM with a viewing one hour prior to services at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.), Sandy. Interment to follow at Sandy City Cemetery, 700 East 9000 South, Sandy.
