Mom was a devoted mother to her five children and was always there for each no matter the situation. She thoroughly enjoyed children, always smiling when listening to interactions between her 10 grandchildren. She often attended her grandkids' school activities and sporting events.

Everyone Mary Lee ever touched loved her fun-loving and kind spirit. She was a good-hearted, humble, generous, gentle soul always ready for the next adventure or experience. She will be greatly and forever missed.

She was a devoted animal lover, rescuing hundreds of strays throughout her life. She could never turn a blind eye to an animal in need. If she came across a stray in her daily outings and thought they were hungry, she would feed them.

Mary Lee attended the University of Wyoming where she met her husband Bill of 25 years. She received a B.A. in Geology in 1953. She was an avid reader and life-long learner. Some of her favorite interests were history, ancient civilizations, archaeology, mineralogy, traveling and gardening. She enjoyed many genres of music including country, opera or any catchy tune. She often sang around the house. She had a keen intellect, a sharp memory, and could recite nearly everything she learned over the course of her lifetime.

Mary Lee was preceded in passing by her daughter Debbie, her former husband Bill, parents Ernest and Caress McCoy, and brother Melville I've lived a life that's full, I've traveled each & every highway, & more than this, I did it my way McCoy. She is survived by son Don Stevenson (Susan); daughter Susan Stevenson, grandchildren Brynna and Graham Dow; daughter Cynthia Stevenson, grandchildren Gavin, Chloe, Caressa Salee and great-grandson Noah; son Richard Stevenson (Julie), grandchildren McCoy, Garrett, Nash, Savannah and Westan.

I enjoyed every minute I spent with this great lady! The world feels a little different today. I will miss her warmth, her colorful and classy fashion choices, stimulating conversations, and her mischievous sense of humor! She was such a good sport during sleepovers, late night chats, and anything else we girls could cook up! She bravely took us boating (with Richard to drive) and we still crack up every time we think of the people next to us trying to load their boat! Cindy & her mom have a gift for remembering the funny lines from life that trigger the best memories! Mary Lee had a gentle grace and strength about her that never wavered. I admire her very much. She was one in a zillion! My heart goes out to Cindy, Susan, Richard, Donald and their families and friends who will miss her.

Thanks for sharing. My Mom enjoyed your company as well. She just loved your dead pan sense of humor. You'll always be family as far as I'm concerned. Love, Susan

What a beautiful lady and soul Mary Lee was. I am honored to have known her. She just had the most joyous, loving attitude - all the time. I have been blessed to know Mary Lee through Rich and Julies family. Sending love and condolences to Rich, Julie, kids and extended family.
