Mary Kaye Johnson passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, in Sandy, Ut at the age of 69. She was born in Del Norte, Co to Carl and Mary Larsen.

She married Milton “Fred” Johnson on March 4, 2002.

Mary Kaye was an accomplished Speech Therapist. She helped many children in Colorado, where she got her master degree in Speech Pathology, and here in Utah. Mary Kaye was a modest person and loved gardening, a good movie, reading her scriptures, and doing home projects around the house. She especially loved it when her grandchildren would help her with the projects.

She is survived by her daughter Rebekah and husband Taylor, her step-children Gayle Hughes and husband Dale, Fred Johnson and wife Polly Bailey, and Lance Johnson and fiancé Helga Baumgartner. And by her grandchildren Rylin, Chelsah, Miles, Lexi, Ryan, David, Sydney, Sierra, and Jackson. Also by her sisters Carolyn Schofield and Betty Blackhurst.

She is preceded in death by her husband Milton “Fred” Johnson, mother Mary Larsen, and oldest sister Patricia Billington.

Her services will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. There will be a viewing at 10:00am, chapel service at 11:00am, and a short grave dedication afterwards. All services will be held at Memorial Lake Hills Mortuary and Cemetery at 10055 S State St, Sandy, Ut 84070. Services will also be lived streamed via Zoom, information TBA.
