Marnell Jackson Rowley

Oct 16, 1934 Sep 1, 2023

Our mother, sister and grandmother peacefully passed away on September 1, 2023 in American Fork, Utah at the age of 88. She was born at the home of her Grandma and Grandpa Jackson on October 16, 1934 in Vernal, Utah to Glenn W. Jackson and Bernice Gurr Jackson, weighing 2 pounds.

Marnell had fond memories of her early life in Vernal. She grew up in a very large and loving family, being the oldest of 8. She also had 62 first cousins and 32 nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, which remained of great importance to her throughout her life.

On July 31, 1952, she ran off to Duchesne, Utah and married her high school sweetheart, Gerald B. Rowley. Together they had 4 children, Mike, Jerry, Kelly and Jodi. They loved going out dancing and would hold hands everywhere they went.

She was a very hard worker and it showed with her 25+ years of service working at Sears Service Center fixing mainly sewing machines and vacuums. She found joy in taking road trips with her family across the country to different motorcycle races where her husband and daughter, Kelly, would compete. She also enjoyed sewing, reading, baking and cooking.

She is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Bub) Fawcett, 3 grandchildren, Mike (Lara) Rowley, Grady Fawcett and Kylie (Trent) Johnson, 5 great grandchildren, Dallas (Breeauna) Rowley, Casey Rowley, Shyla Rowley, Paityn Johnson and Ellie Johnson, 1 great great granddaughter Remi Rowley, 4 brothers, Lane (Joyce) Jackson, Harley Jackson, Danny (Louise) Jackson and Randy (Becky) Jackson ,1 sister Glena (Buck) Hall and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband Gerald, 3 children, Mike, Jerry and Jodi, brothers Sherron and Kent Jackson, and sister-in-laws Donneita, Kathryn and Tonah Jackson.

We want to thank the staff at Bel Aire Senior Living for their incredible acts of service, compassion and love they showed to all of us.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 7th, 2023 at 3:00 PM with the burial immediately after. The viewing will be held prior that same day from 1:00 - 3:00 PM.
