Mark Alan Holyoak departed this life on October 24, 2022, surrounded by loving family members. Mark was born to Alan and Jeanine Holyoak on May 12, 1954 in Provo, Utah. He was always “all boy,” a playful soul, a tease to his family and friends, and loved playing outside sports, especially his favorites baseball, football, and even track where he proudly held high school and state records for most of his life. But he excelled in golf and always loved playing a round with friends, or just by himself. He was also an avid Utah Utes fan.

He attended Cottonwood HS (‘72), Ricks College, and LDS Business College. He met his wife, Jana Hinds, while working at Hotel Utah. They married in 1974, and were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Mark and Jana were blessed with 4 children, Jakson, Corey, MarDee, and Haley, who have since blessed their lives with 10 grandchildren.

After graduating from LDS Business College with an Associates Degree, Mark took and passed the CPA exam, one of a small handful of CPA’s to pass with only an Associates Degree in the state of Utah. He was always proud of that accomplishment.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, brother Scott, father-in-law Herbert Hinds, brother-in-law Kevin Hinds, and sister-in-law Sheryle Hinds McVey. He is survived by his wife and all of his children and grandchildren.  He was proud of and loved all in his family.

A private Celebration of Life was held in his honor on October 30, 2022 in Sandy UT with his family and close friends. He is missed very much by all those who knew and loved him.
