Nov 16, 1936 Jan 30, 2022

Marianna Schultz Bolinder passed away on January 30, 2022 in Salt Lake City, Utah after a long battle with Parkinson’s and Dementia with her loving husband by her side. She was born on November 16, 1936 in Pioche, Nevada to Henry Lee and Christie Nielson Schultz. The family later moved to Salt Lake City, where she started school and eventually graduated from East High. Marianna married the love of her life Walter Earl Bolinder on February 10, 1956 in Salt Lake City. She was a true sports fan and loved watching all games, but her favorite was always football. She also loved to bowl and won several trophies from different bowling leagues. Marianna was an avid shopper and was the first one to find the best bargain. She was the “queen of bling” and always dressed to the nines. In later years she and Earl did a lot of traveling including cruises to different countries. However, her favorite was always Aruba where they frequently visited. The spent their time walking along the beaches and watching the beautiful sunsets together. Her photo collection includes hundreds of those sunsets. Marianna is survived by her beloved husband Earl, sons Michael (Kristin) of Salt Lake City and Eric of Dallas, Texas, her sisters Nancy Vaughn of Beaverton, Oregon and Christie Schultz of Salt Lake City. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Scott, sisters Sylvia Schultz and Linda Valerio. The family would like to thank the special nurses from the Good Shepherd Home and Care and Hospice for their loving care and service to Marianna. She loved and adored each one of them. A private graveside service was held February 3, 2022 where she was laid to rest at Elysian Burial Gardens in Salt Lake City. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to your local chapter for Parkinson’s Disease.
