Margott Carey, 59, of West Jordan, UT passed away peacefully in her home on May 19th, 2024 after a brave 15 year battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Joseph Anthony Carey, Sr. Her children, Joseph Anthony Carey Jr. (Rachel), Madison Victoria Lynn Carey-Pabe (Juan), and her 4 beautiful grandchildren Olive, KC, Wyatt, and Ariella as well as her 2 siblings Denise Taylor, Michelle Johnson. She was predeceased by her son Mitchell Cameron Carey and Sister Julia Shepardson.

Margott was a truly gentle soul, who rarely had an unkind word to say about another person. She loved her family and friends deeply and enjoyed hosting neighborhood parties where good food, good friends and good memories were plentiful. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, devoted wife, and the best friend anyone could ask for. She will be missed more than words can ever say and feelings could ever express.

Her final act of compassion was by donating her body to the University of Utah Cancer Research, in the hope of bringing more understanding to her disease.
