Well, it finally happened. I read the obituaries this morning, and there I was! So, of course, I didn't bother to get out of bed. My actual date of demise was June 10, 2022.

Like Nephi of old, I, Margie Colleen (Coke) West, was born to godly parents, McClellan West and LaNola Irene (Olsen) West, on June 9, 1937.

I led a rather simple, uncomplicated life, but nevertheless a happy one. I attribute this happiness to my unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and his atoning sacrifice. My testimony gives me comfort in the knowledge that I leave this earthly estate for a more exalted one.

Surviving me is my brother, Stephen McClellan West, and nephews Stephen West Jr. ( Daphne), Todd West (Lainee), and Mitchell West (Ciara), and great-nieces and nephews.

Per my request, there will be no funeral services. Instead, as you read this obituary notice, it would please me if you will just pause for a moment and reflect on the relationship you had with me and the good times and laughter we shared. Thank you for that. To my many friends, know this, "I'm glad I touched shoulders with you.”

Colleen's family would like to express their deepest gratitude to her brother, Stephen West, the hospice nurses and staff at Aspen Ridge Hospice, and her many friends and neighbors for the care and support they have offered to "Coke" and her family during this time.

Graveside services for family will be held at Elysian Gardens on 6/21/22 at 9 AM.

In lieu of flowers, please leave a comment and share a memory you have of her with the family. Thank you.

Guestbook

A dear friend for over fifty years. We enjoyed being neighbors, playing cards, using our four wheelers in the mountains and pulling up to a lake in the pines and having our lunch. She loved Mother Natures world and her creations.

Colleen was a joy to be around with her cute sense of laughter, her love for others and making others happy on the road of life.

Thanks for the memories Coke and the good times we had together, never to be forgotten.
