Margaret Joyce Callister Peterson (Peggy) passed away February 7, 2021 in Salt Lake City, Utah, of natural causes incident to age. She was born June 8, 1928 in SLC Utah, the youngest child of Arthur A. Callister and Alverda Reid. She grew up in the Avenues, graduated from East High School and attended the University of Utah. In 1949, she married Carl E. Peterson (divorced) and they had five children: Margaret(deceased), Sharon (Ed), Erick (Holly), MaryAnn(deceased) and Kent (Tami). Peggy loved painting, playing bridge, reading, playing the piano, genealogy, and traveling. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many positions. Peggy was proceeded in death by her parents, brothers Arthur A Callister and John William Callister and sister Jane Sant. She is survived by her three children, Sharon, Erick, and Kent. She was loved and will be missed. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Beehive Homes of Draper and Rocky Mountain Hospice for their compassionate care of our mother. Private graveside services will be held at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
