Marco Padilla Martinez

Marco Padilla Martinez age 38 passed away on March 23, 2023. He was born on March 22, 1985, in Salt Lake City Utah to Marcella Lovell and Delon Martinez.

We will never forget that chill March afternoon when God called you home so very suddenly and unexpectedly. They say everything happens for a reason, yet we’ve still been left with so many unanswered questions. You were always so full of life and willing to make a clown of yourself if it made someone else smile. You were such a bright light in everyone’s life.

Marco loved the outdoors, camping, and fishing. He loved his tools and electronics. You could always find him in the garage fixing something for someone.

Marco just had a son with his partner Allison Scott, Baby Marco just turned one year old. He was his pride and joy. He loved Baby Marco to the moon and back.

We will miss you so much, But we know that you’re in a better place and now you can finally rest in peace as you deserve. We all understand that you were tired more so than we all choose to see. We love you forever Marco Marco!!!

Marco is survived by his mother Marcella Lovell, his father Delon Martinez (Missie Clements), and his brothers; Tino, George, Gregory, and Zack. His sisters; Dionne, Anita, Marty, Celisse, and Rebecca. Nieces and Nephews; Larissa, Alaira, Tina, Cella, Reyna, and Petey. His partner Allison Scott. His son Marco Jr. Uncles and aunts; Lenny, Vivian, Johnny, Maylene, Sheila, Roy, JoAnn, Vicki, and Frieda.

Marco is preceded in death by his Grandma Honey Rey, Grandpa Vivian Padilla, Grandpa Joe Martinez, Grandma Mary Pauline Quintana, Aunt Diane Martinez, JB Martinez, Sean Raymond Gonzales, Angel Gonzalez, Frank (Chico) Martinez, Angelica Rivas, and Mary Olivia Rivas Jorgansen.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, April 7, 2023, at the LDS Chapel located at 1145 West 500 South, Salt Lake City Utah. A viewing will be held from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the same location before services.

The family and Marco wish to thank everyone who has graciously donated to cover funeral expenses for Marco.
