Marcia passed away peacefully on February 27, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Salt Lake City on May 29, 1934 to Allan H. Wagley and Flora Curtis. She was raised in a happy home in Salt Lake City as the oldest of 3 sisters.

Marcia graduated from Granite High School where she met her sweetheart, Jerry Starr. They were married September 4, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. Marcia and Jerry had the opportunity to live in many places in the United States due to Jerry’s career. The majority of their marriage was spent in California, where they were blessed to raise six beautiful children, with whom she enjoyed music, gardening, cooking and being a mom.

Marcia is survived by her daughters Christy (Matt Margetts), Becky (Tom Smith), sons Jeff (Carol), Brad (Roberta), sister Lois Maxfield, 28 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerry Starr, sons Rick (Sandy), Greg, and great-grandchildren Quinn Burton and Grace Taylor, also sister Sharon Beers.

The funeral will be held Friday, March 4th at 10:00 a.m. at the Riverwoods ward building at 4775 North 300 West, Provo Utah 84604. The funeral will be broadcast via zoom. The link is available by accessing https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86006131038. There will be no viewing prior to the services.

The family would like to thank all of our friends and neighbors for their prayers, love and support. A heartfelt thanks to Tom and Becky for having mom reside with them these past 5 years. She was so loved and well taken care of. We are also grateful to all our friends at Beacon Crest & Hospice for the wonderful care and service these past few weeks.

Dear Lady, rest in peace. You raised and nurtured a beautiful family and gave them a legacy of faith and love. To my dear friend (whom I've missed), Christy, I wish you love and strength as you now carry the family matriarch torch. God bless your family in your loss. Love, Eileen Barlage
