Lyle Quinn Rasmussen

Lyle Quinn Rasmussen, age 63, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020, in Salt Lake City due to complications of liver disease.  He was born April 23, 1957, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Virginia Keveren Scholes and Kenneth Lloyd Rasmussen.

After serving a church mission in Australia, he moved to Salt Lake City, UT where he married Tina Cook on April 7, 1989.  They were sealed in the Jordan River Temple on April 13, 1991.  He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held many different positions and callings.  He spent his career working at IDS Fulfillment (formerly Aspen Distribution) as a Warehouse and Inventory Control Specialist for over 30 years, where he made lifelong friendships with his colleagues.  He was an avid fan of the Utah Jazz, BYU, and Star Wars.  He enjoyed coin collecting, target shooting and spending time with his family, especially at his in-laws’ cabin.

He was preceded in death by his parents (Kenneth and Virginia), and father in-law (Leonard Cook).  He is survived by his wife (Tina); his children (Chambrae, Dakota, and Dawson); his siblings (Kenneth, Jeannine, Brent, Steven, Lucinda, Dana, and David) and their spouses/significant others; his in-laws (Kirk and Firlene Barton), (Kris and Jeff Haley); and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

All services will be held at the Oquirrh Stake Center, 5208 W. Cyclamen Way in West Jordan, UT. A viewing will be held Monday, December 28, 2020 from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM with a viewing one hour prior. Interment will be at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 S. Redwood Rd., Taylorsville, UT. Due to COVD-19 restrictions, only 20 people are allowed in the viewing room at a time and funeral attendance is capped at 100 people. Please wear a mask and socially distance. The service and dedication of the grave will be available to view live on Zoom (see instructions below). The service will also be viewable live at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTrck6BjKlOBVEDneUjxL1g/videos.
