Lula May Cooper Wilkinson

Mar 15, 1935 Nov 2, 2020

Lula May Cooper Wilkinson, age 85, died on November 2, 2020 in Taylorsville, Utah at her home. She was born on March 15, 1935 in Myton, Utah to Theodore R. Cooper and Leola Bowden Cooper. She married John Garth Wilkinson on July 16, 1952.

Her only full-time job was as a mother and grandmother. She was the best at this. She always had time and love for her family. She loved babies more than anyone I’ve seen. They always brought a smile to her face and she had to hold them. Good luck trying to get the baby back form our mother and grandmother! She enjoyed playing games and loved winning. She was a life-long democrat and had many heated arguments with her republican brother. She was the glue holding our family together all her love and kindness. She donated her time to many organizations. Kearns Senior Center three times a week for 10+ years. My biggest regret with COVID-19 is she didn’t get to spend more time with her grandbabies she loved.

She is survived by her brother, Frank Cooper, daughter, Pamela Bird, son, James Theodore Wilkinson, and daughter Tina Hallet. 13 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Garth Wilkinson, her brother John R. Cooper, sister Belva Jensen, brother Gary Cooper and her parents.
