LuAnn was born in Echo, Utah on July 29th, 1935, to Charles Leonard and Lula Palmer Lyon. She was the youngest of six children, grew up in West Jordan, and graduated from Jordan High School. She married the love of her life, Richard Gunther Conley on November 26th, 1952. Richard says every day spent with Ann was a good day and he asked to marry her on their first date. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on February 7, 1962.

She graduated from LDS Business College and learned secretarial skills that served her the rest of her life. She worked for years at the University of Utah-Anesthesiology Department and the University of San Francisco-Ophthalmology Department from which she retired.

LuAnn was a faithful and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints throughout her life. She treasured the gospel and loved sharing it with others. She served in several callings including Young Women’s, Relief Society, Sunday School, and as an Emergency Preparedness Leader in San Francisco.

LuAnn’s family, whom she loved fiercely, was always her greatest joy. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an accomplished cook, seamstress, loyal friend and caregiver. LuAnn loved to sing and had the voice of an angel.

LuAnn was preceded in death by her loving parents, and siblings, Melvin, Norma, Mark, Allen, and Paul. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Richard Gunther Conley, their grateful children Paul Conley (Sherri), Pamela Aveytua (Luis), Camille Garidel (Ron), Celeste Tobler (Darrell), and Sisters-in-law Gayle Lyon, and Ardell Lyon. She blessed the lives of 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

We love you mom and will miss you every day, until we meet again!
