Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Louise Warr Carter, passed away on December 9, 2020. Louise was born on August 13, 1937, in Granger, Utah, to William and Olga Warr.
Louise married the love of her life, E. Paul Carter, November 8, 1957. They solemnized their marriage in The Salt Lake City Temple on August 4, 1971. They settled in Magna, Utah, where they raised 5 children. Louise loved to roller skate at the S & M Skating Rink with her sisters and brother, and then later with her family. Louise loved to play softball, you would usually find her playing catcher, she played church ball for many years and later was a coach for the young women of her ward. Louise loved to go camping and playing horseshoes with her family.
Louise graduated from Cyprus High School in 1956. She held many callings in the church from Relief Society Historian to the Ward Librarian where she served with Paul for many years.
Louise is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Gary) Norton, sons, Ronald (Debbie Ferrell) Carter, Greg (Kristi) Carter, sister, Dorene Rowley, sister-in-law, Bessie Warr, 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Louise is preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul, sons, Kelly and Jeff, brother, Allen Warr, and sisters, Marion and Joann Williams.
A viewing will be held for Louise on Thursday, December 17, 2020, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123, and again on Friday, December 18, 2020, from 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM with a funeral service to follow at The Lake Ridge 9th Ward, 3151 South Broadway Street, Magna, Utah 84044. Interment will take place following the funeral service at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery.
