Lorraine June Bates passed away at the age of 74 peacefully surrounded by her family on January 25, 2022 in West Valley City, Utah. She was born on July 4, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Tom and June Crane.
Lorraine enjoyed scrapbooking and she was obsessed with taking photos at family get-togethers..
She was one of the first females to complete an upholstery course which was a man’s profession.
Lorraine is survived by her children: Michael (Jaime) Bates; Becky (Danny) Claypool, Richard (Michelle) Bates, and Beth (Ed) Sutton, her 12 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Tammy Bates, parents Tom and June Crane, and brothers Tom and Lamar.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022, at 11:00 AM with a viewing beginning two hours prior at 9:00 AM, at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 S Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT 84123. Interment will immediately follow at the same location.
