Litha Verleen Winters Jones, age 92, passed away on December 29, 2023 in South Jordan, Utah. She was born on December 26, 1931 in Pleasant Grove, Utah to Arthur Cyril Winters and Mary Verona Clegg.

Verleen married Dale Wayne Jones on July 19, 1960.

She graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and then attended Brigham Young

University for one year.

Verleen proudly served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the U.S. Central States Mission. She served in various church callings including Primary and Relief Society. She loved genealogy and worked tirelessly to preserve her family history. She loved the gospel of Jesus Christ

and her eternal family dearly and anxiously awaited the day that she could be reunited with her sweetheart Dale. Mom, we love you and will miss you. God be with you til we meet again.

Verleen is survived by her children, Becky (Reuel) Ipson, Lamar Jones, Perry Jones, Joel (Darla) Jones; brother, Arnell Winters; seventeen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Dale Wayne Jones; father Arthur Cyril Winters; mother Mary Verona Clegg; brothers Wayne, Weston and Gary Winters; and sister Wanda Mooy. Also preceded in death by her twin sister Arleen who died at birth and her grandson Jesse Ipson.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. You may visit with the family prior to services from 12:30 to 1:45 PM.
