Lisa Pulley

May 31, 1967 Mar 27, 2024

Lisa Strong Pulley passed away suddenly but peacefully on March 27, 2024. She was born to Marlynn McKinnon and Karen Hansen Isaacson (formerly McKinnon) on May 31, 1967, in Tacoma, Washington. She went on to graduate from Provo High School and become a registered nurse through Weber State.

Service to others was Lisa’s calling in this world. She served in many different capacities as a nurse, most recently in home health pediatrics. She was a sponsor, friend, and peer to recovering alcoholics. She was tireless with a crochet hook, making wool hats for premature babies, handcloths for abused women, sleeping mats for the homeless, and scarves for the rest of us. Her final gift was of life itself when she was able to become an organ donor.

Lisa’s family will remember her as a remorseless punster who accepted either laughs or groans with equal satisfaction. They’ll remember her as a healer, adept with both a medicine cabinet and a comforting word. Finally, they’ll remember the daughter, sister, wife, and mother who confronted the challenges of life and chose more compassion, more love, and just a little more silliness in spite of them.

Lisa is preceded in death by her father Marlynn and brother Darold McKinnon. She is survived by her mother Karen, and stepfather Paul Isaacson; adopted father of 54 years, Dave Strong; siblings Derek, Michele, DeAnn, and Justin Strong; sons Weston Tyler Thompson, Bradon William Pulley, and Spencer Clint Pulley; and husband and love of her life Clint William Pulley.
