Jan 20, 1942 Apr 15, 2023

Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Linda Diane Ogden, 81, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born January 20, 1942, in Payson, Utah to Gerald E. Tate and Ruth Beagley Tate. She was the only daughter and sister to 4 brothers. She grew up in Park City and Salt Lake City, attending Bryant Jr. High and East High School. She loved music, was a talented pianist and accompanist.

She was married to W. Lamar Ogden on April 19, 1963, and later divorced.

She retired from LDS family services where she was an Administrative Assistant for over 30 years.

Diane was a devoted and active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many capacities including Organist, Choir Director, and most recently Primary President. She loved spending her time working on family history and genealogy. She also loved serving in the Logan temple.

She loved music, spending time with her grandkids and most importantly, time with her four children. She constantly referred to her kids as “the jewels in my crown”. She had an amazing capacity to make friends with everyone she meets. She had a great sense of humor and unmeasurable strength.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Richard and Robert “Bob”. She is survived by her children; Shelly (Reed) Bytendorp, Lisa (Wade) Lee, Brian (Bonnie) Ogden, Gary (Tara) Ogden, 12 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, brothers Warren (Suzanne) Tate, and Doug Tate.

Our family would like to especially thank the staff of Crescent Senior Living and Canyon Hospice for their love and compassion taking care of Diane. You are angels from heaven.
