Leanna’s greatest joy was being a dedicated friend, wife, mother and grandmother. She loved going to all of the kids and grandkids’ sporting events and activities – rooting for them in the crowd. She took pride in her yard and would spend many of her weekends gardening. She had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed camping, boating, and the beach. She loved to travel and explore anywhere a new adventure would take her. Leanna was a strong and fierce woman, always positive and never once complained even when things got tough.

Leanna is survived by her children Danielle (Aaron) Lewis, Kody (Jayme) Johnstun, Dave Johnstun, Jessica (Travis) Jones, Brad (Natasha) Johnstun, siblings Brian (Melodee) Edwards, Sherrie (William) Hixon-Owen, Kim (Vince) Mousseau, Diane (Jeff) Nelson, Sheryl Lewis, Cary (Barrett) Hixon and 18 grandchildren.

Leanna is preceded in death by the love of her life Dee Johnstun, her parents Jack Edwards and Colleen Hixon, her stepfather Lee Hixon, her in-laws Loren and Margaret Johnstun, her brothers-in-law Glen and Kent Johnstun and Ron Lewis, her sister-in-law Sharon Johnstun, and 3 nephews Todd and John Johnstun and Josh Spilker.

I feel horrible that I was not there... Dee and Leanna were the best of the best. We had great time at Bear Lake and Lake Powell together. My family will have those memories for ever.. I spoke with Leanna about a week before she passed she never complained, and I saw Dee at The Philadelphia every time I went in there for lunch...They will be missed.. At least that are finally together again and out of pain. Rest in Peace Dee and Leanna.. Love the Wetzel's till we meet again.

I worked with Leanna for many years. She was one of the nicest, kindest people I have ever met. I really enjoyed talking to her and wish your family comfort during this time. She will be missed!

Leanna was in my ward for a while and was a great friend to my daughter, Lianna. She allowed her to ride and help with her horses and encouraged her in every way. It was only while reading her obituary that we realized they shared the same middle name as well! She was an amazing woman and will be missed by many.
