Leah Christensen Robinson, age 97, slipped peacefully away of age related natural causes the morning of April 8, 2023. Leah was born in Kanosh Ut. on April 2, 1926. She was the third child of Freda George Christensen and Charles Emery Christensen. She loved growing up in Kanosh. She had a carefree childhood and many wonderful friends. She went to Kanosh Elementary School through 8th grade and graduated from Millard High School in 1944. She worked 2 summers in the Fillmore Maternity Home during high school. After graduation she worked as a clerk for Stevens Merc in Fillmore. Her high school sweetheart was Ralph Alden Robinson. They were married in the Manti Temple on July 27, 1945. Ralph built them a little basement house in Flowell Utah where they lived without electricity for the first 6 months. Ralph and Leah had 3 children while living in the basement. They raised chickens and sold the eggs to raise the money to build an upstairs addition and had 2 more boys. Leah loved taking care of this home. She was a gracious hostess and homemaker. Her home was full of wonderful food, always clean and everyone was welcome.

In 2015 daughter Jolene built an addition to the family home so that Leah was able to remain in her own original living space while Jolene and her husband lived down the hall. With Jolene’s care and assistance Leah was able to enjoy her own home for another 6 years.

Leah was an accomplished seamstress. She made wedding dresses, every day play clothes, and almost everything her daughters wore. In her later years she expressed her artistic abilities by learning oil and acrylic painting. She produced 100’s of paintings that grace the walls of her children, grandchildren, and community.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and filled many callings. She served with Ralph as an Ordinance Worker in the Manti Temple for many years. She was President of the Fillmore Fine Arts Club and active in the Red Hats Society.

After living for 76 years in her beloved Flowell home she spent 5 months living in LaVerkin Utah with her daughter Diane and the last 18 months at the Millard Care and Rehabilitation Center in Delta, Utah. We appreciate their wonderful staff; they provided a safe place and loving care. She passed away in the Care Center on April 8, 2023.

Leah was preceded in death by her son Scott Ralph March 31, 1964, her beloved husband Ralph September 28, 2001, brothers Virge Christensen and Vernon Christensen, sisters Arlene McNamar and Reveau Newby.
