Leah Jeanene Osiek, age 83, of LaVerkin, Utah, passed away on February 6, 2024. She was born on February 15, 1940, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Mildred Nunley Hansen and Cecil Joe Nunley. She married Robert Osiek on July 17, 1959, in Norwalk, California.

Leah was a devoted mother and is survived by her loving children: Sherry (Dennis) Wagner, of St. George, Utah, Dana (Joe) Stone, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Cary (Rayna) Osiek, Corpus Christi, Tx and Robin (Matt) Stanger, Las Vegas, Nevada. Brother Arthur J Hansen of Vernal, Utah. She was also cherished by her 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren as "Granny".

Leah is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert (Bob) Osiek, and her parents. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Richard (Dick) Nunley and Cecil Joe (Tedo) Nunley, and sister-in-law, Carol Nunley, granddaughter, Amber Dawn Hughes, great-grandsons, Fynn Riley and William Thomas Alden.

Granny was one of a kind. She didn't care what was happening in your life. Whether you needed a bed to sleep on or just needed a home cooked meal. Granny always took care of you with open arms and made you feel like you were finally home. She found what you loved and gave it to you in surplus whether that was books, blankets, applesauce, or cinnamon rolls. She left us a loving legacy and if only we can achieve a fraction of that we are doing her proud.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 1:00 pm, at First Southern Baptist Church, 1565 West State Street, Hurricane, Utah.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association in Leah’s name or to First Southern Baptist Church.

Arrangements are made under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary. 435-673-2454.
