LaVon Amundsen

Nov 22, 1940 Jan 31, 2021

LaVon Amundsen, age 80, passed away on January 31st, 2021, in West Jordan, Utah. She was born on November 22, 1940, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Dean Lorus Amundsen & Leah Peterson.

LaVon has touched the hearts of many. She enjoyed listening to Elvis, while eating her chocolate shakes and playing board games. LaVon was always smiling and greeted you with a "there you are, my sweetheart," or "where have you been?" that just warmed your heart. She enjoyed going for car rides, as long as it ended with a cheeseburger, a DR. PEPPER and fries! Over the years, LaVon accomplished a lot such as medals in the Special Olympics, and retiring. During her retirement, LaVon overcame many obstacles that only made her stronger. She spent her days coloring, watching her favorite TV shows such as, "NCIS," "Law and Order," and movies such as, "Madagascar," and "Princess Bride." LaVon enjoyed the company of staff and roommates over the years. LaVon will always hold a special place in our hearts, and be a constant reminder of why we do what we do here at Chrysalis. She was a beloved friend, and family member of our family. Thank you for the years you gave us, LaVon Amundsen, you will be forever remembered.
