He was born on September 4, 1932, in Murray, Utah to LaVern J. Dickson and Charlotte LaVon Robins. He was raised in Midvale, Utah, and attended Jordan High School where he was chosen class Valedictorian. He received two degrees at the University of Utah and was twice elected to Phi Kappa Phi. He taught school for a year before completing his degree in pharmacy.

Later he became a real estate broker and enjoyed preparing land for subdividing, and building homes to sell as well as building and managing a 15 unit apartment complex.

Ramon married Colleen Gowans on June 7, 1956, in the Salt Lake Temple. They have four wonderful sons, twelve grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren with two more on the way. Ramon was a gentle, kind, loving and most generous man who quietly helped many people. He loved spending time with his family and made many precious memories with them. He loved fishing with family and friends.

Ramon served a mission to the East Central States as well as a temple mission with his wife in the South Korea and Dallas, Texas temples. He also served as a temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple for many years. He served as a bishop's counselor, stake high councilor, stake missionary, ward clerk, scout master and as a special needs Primary teacher.

He is survived by his wife, four children R. Scott (Heidi), Steven K. (Michelle), Douglas K. and Darin M. (Tiffany) Dickson and his 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Colleen D. Cummings and a daughter-in-law, Debbie W. Dickson.

A common site of Grandpa - in a suit with a smile. He was often working hard on various church callings, and happy to be alive.
