Larry was born on May 19th, 1957 in Durango, Colorado to Elmer Parker and Cleah Chipman, later moving to Salt Lake City, Utah, where he graduated from Olympus High School. In high school is where Larry developed an eye for color and textures, which ended up being the grounds for his career.

In 1982, Larry became a proud dad to his daughter, Lindsey, his mini me and his kiddo.

In 1985, Larry moved to St. Croix, USVI where he started working with Jagel Paints painting houses and businesses around the island.

In September 1989 after Hurricane Hugo, Larry opened A to Z Paint Supply in Princesse. His eye for color, his memory for information and his honesty to his customers is what allowed him to be voted best paint on St. Croix multiple times over the last thirty-eight years. Larry also served his community as a member of St. Croix Navy League in the early 1990’s, later becoming President, which allowed him to host fun and wild parties at his house, getting VIP access for him and his daughter to tour Navy destroyers and submarines that would dock in Frederiksted.

In 2004, Larry met the love of his life, Fadia. For nineteen years, they had a beautiful life together. Larry was her everything. If you knew Larry, you knew he was honest. Sometimes, he was brutally honest, but he was a man that told you like it was. He was tender to those he loved. Larry had a huge heart to help those he could with honor and compassion. He was one of a kind.

Larry’s passions were his family, his business, and his customers. When Larry had time, you could find him diving for treasures, getting lost in a good book, talking about wonders of the world, watching Sci-Fi, and restoring vintage cars.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Elmer Parker and Cleah Chipman; father-in-law Edmond Elizeinaty; brothers-in-law Gary Snyder and Joseph Elizeinaty.

Larry is survived by his wife Fadia Chipman; daughter Lindsey Chipman; his dogs Jack and Lucy; and all of his cats. Also survived by four brothers; five sisters (spouses); two brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, his mother-in-law, and dozens more around the world.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 9th at 11:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road (10600 S.), Sandy, Utah. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Croix Animal Shelter.
