He attended Salt Lake Community college. He was a fantastic welder, diesel mechanic, and had his CDL. He was highly sought out in the oil industry because of his accomplishments. He had a love for painting and sculpting and was a GREAT artist.

Some knew him as “Chuck” some “Charles” and some “Lance”, but everyone knew him as an extraordinary presence in their life.

To meet Lance was to immediately be overcome by his intense positivity. His infectious laugh and big heart rubbed off on anyone lucky enough to know him. As one friend put it, happiness and love literally spilled out of him.

This big bear of man was loving, patient, tolerant, and generous to a fault. He would literally, as the saying goes, give someone the shirt off his back. (Though was known for taking a lighter or two that didn’t belong to him Ü).

He was a long time Insane Clown Posse fan also known as Juggalos. This group’s extreme music can be shocking at first listen. However, the lyrics are imbedded with deeply positive messages which taught those who listened to never give up on yourself and always keep trying. These messages helped Lance as a youth and played a big part in him becoming the person he was.

Lance was a believer in the Law of Attraction, which is the ability to create the life you want, and he did just that in extraordinary ways! He lived and emphasized the importance of forgiving oneself and moving on. You never left his presence without being better for it.

If you were struggling, Lance was there for you, and he helped some people through incredibly difficult times… (even getting a tattoo on his body representing a friend who was going though chemo.)

Though we are devastated at this loss and the huge hole that will be left by his absence, he left the type of mark that stays forever. He taught people how to be more joyful and kind and how to create a positive life that they, in turn, will spread to others. That will be his legacy.

How would Lance want to be remembered? Another friend put it beautifully:

“I think Chuck would have wanted us to rally around each other and make 2024 GREAT! He would want us to celebrate who he was and what he represented! Let’s all hold a “light to the sky”, hope he don’t steal ‘em, and resolve to honor a man who brought so much love and happiness to everybody in his path of life.”
