LaFern was known for her quick-witted sense of humor and for making you feel like you were important in her life. LaFern liked to listen to music and watch old television shows from the sixties and seventies. LaFern was the 8th of ten children of Robert and Edith. We all knew LaFern to be a person that liked her space and preferred to be alone to do her own “thing”. When her nephews and nieces would visit they would listen to music, play cards, or games. She was known from time to time to accuse us of cheating at the game just to get a big laugh. LaFern was good at being the boss and taking control of her siblings and their kids. LaFern often took us by the ear or grabbed us by the collar bone to get our attention. We all have good memories of the time that we spent with LaFern. We treasure these memories of her and she will not be forgotten. LaFern will be laid to rest next to her Mom Edith Burson and Brother Dale Burson whom she missed deeply.
