Kyla Jane Hervey YoungWulf, age 45, passed away on April 1, 2023, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born February 15, 1978, in Wichita, Kansas to David Leroy Young and Jane Hervey Barton. Kyla graduated from Colorado Mountain College in Leadville, Colorado in 2004 with a degree in Wilderness Studies. After graduation, Kyla was employed in the western United States as a National Park Service ranger from 2004 through 2018. In 2018, she transferred to the Bureau of Land Management in Moab, Utah as a park ranger and in the office. She transferred to the BLM in St. George, Utah in 2021, as previously employed. Kyla loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, camping, and boating.

She is survived by her mother Jane Hervey Barton, stepfather Dale L. Barton, father David L. Young, brother Klee Young, uncle Rex Hervey (Suzanne), aunt Nancy Hervey Shoemaker (Kim) cousins: Matthew Ohlson (Amy), Sarah Reynolds (Chris), Ryan Miller (Ginger), Evan Charles (Kelly), Leah Sisco (Dustin), and Annie Lawrence. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Clare Ziegler Hervey, grandfather Dr. James Sterling Hervey and aunt Carolyn Hervey Charles (Steve).
