Kristine Faye Garff Seiter our most special mother, wife, grandmother, sister, friend, teacher, admirer, and confidant passed away April 2, 2024 leaving behind a legacy of love like no other. Kriss made the people she treasured feel and know of their specialness! Her dynamic, vivacious, and fun ways will be missed immensely.

Kristine was the daughter of Faye Lila Roskelley Garff and Orson Reed Garff. Sister to her cherished brother Martin Garff (Linda). Wife and eternal companion of Terry Seiter. They were married for 42 years. She was the most devoted mother; showing her children great love and understanding and always guiding toward the spiritual. Her children include: Scott Seiter (Sue), Colene Lambourne (Bill), Todd Seiter (Cheryl), Lisa Fairbanks (Jared), and Stacy Clifford. One of her favorite roles was being a grandma to 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Her posterity was one of her greatest joys in life and providing a “grandkid’s room” full of bunkbeds, air hockey, train tables, and dress-ups provided endless hours of play for each child.

Fun, laughter, and endless memories existed wherever Kriss was. She grew up in Holladay, Utah. She attended Olympus High School and graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Elementary Education. Teaching children was Kriss’ passion for over 30 years and she was a wonderfully gifted teacher! She loved nothing more than seeing a spark of understanding turn on in a student’s eyes. Her sense of humor and wit is something students fondly remember. She taught at Oakwood Elementary, Cottonwood Elementary, Westbrook Elementary and was a Teacher Leader for the Granite School District. Although she retired from education, she never stopped teaching. She used her skill in many ways throughout her life, especially in her church callings as a Relief Society and Gospel Doctrine instructor. Her light shone brightly to all. What a spirit!

In her last years, Kriss’ memory faded but she never lost her love for people. She always saw the good in others right up to her last days. A special thank you to our dad, Prilla and Lloyd Tilt, Joy Hartman, her kind Visiting Angel companions, The Ridge, and Ability Hospice.
