Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on October 6, 2023, with her family by her side. She was born on December 30, 1960, to Gayson and Bonnie Blight, who preceded her in death, along with her beloved brother Craig Blight, and sister Tammy Hardman.

She married the love of her life, Jay L. Powell, on January 30, 1986. Kim was fun, loving, and loved her family more than anything. Together they built a beautiful family of 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Kim was extremely proud of all her children and their life successes. She loved her dogs, Abbie, Sophie, and K-9 Pax.

Kim loved spending time with her husband traveling to several locations including Ireland, Rome, Several cruises, Camping, Fishing, and many trips to Mexico. She was looking forward to spending her time at the family Cabin.

She is survived by the love of her life, Jay Powell, son, Colton Powell, and Daughters, Karly Powell, Danielle (Brady) Taylor, her three sisters Sherry (Sherm) Margetts, Marci Blight Hogan (Mike), Becky (Bryan) Snyder, brother-in-law Cory Hardman, and all her sisters and brother-in-laws.

We will miss her contagious smile, laugh, and her early morning birthday serenades. Her ways of mispronouncing words and her kind and generous heart.

The Powell family would like to extend their gratitude and are very thankful to the nurses and providers in the ICU at Riverton Hospital and IMC during these trying times.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 13th at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah. Viewings will be held at the mortuary on Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the services on Friday.

Interment, Riverton City Cemetery.
