Kevin S. McGlinn, a resident of Draper, Utah, peacefully passed away on Friday, July 9 at Intermountain Hospital in Murray surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. He was 60 years old.
Born in Camden, New Jersey on August 1, 1960 to Virginia (Driscoll) McGlinn and Edmund McGlinn, Kevin was the youngest of six children and spent most of his early years in LaFayette Hill, Pennsylvania and Ocean City, New Jersey. After attending LaSalle Catholic College Preparatory High School, Kevin went to the University of Miami and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Communication and was an avid football fan. He then went to work in the travel industry starting with Trans World Airlines and continuing to Worldspan where he met the love of his life and future bride, Kim Pullen. He then went on to a long career with Royal Caribbean International where he was a multiple award-winning Sr. National Account Manager handling their largest e-commerce accounts until he retired in January 2020. Most recently, Kevin worked for Traeger Grills and was able to share his passion of grilling through sales. He is well known for his famous grilled jalapeño poppers (along with his beautiful blue eyes and fantastic sense of humor).
Kevin and Kim were married for twenty-seven years until his death and shared a love of travel and adventure. Throughout their marriage, which includes two children, Kyle (24) and Kendall (18), they traveled extensively around the world and lived in Atlanta, Georgia, Sarasota, Florida, and currently in Draper, Utah. Kevin enjoyed mountain biking and hiking and especially loved to ski on the “champagne powder” in Utah with his son. He also loved to take our precious puppies, Baxter and Beau, to the dog park with his daughter. Although he didn’t like to admit it, he also enjoyed our kitty, Calypso, and liked to bribe her for affection using treats.
Kevin was steadfast in his faith as a Christian and member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Draper. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jim McGlinn. He is survived by his wife, Kim (Pullen) McGlinn, his children, Kyle and Kendall McGlinn, his siblings, Virginia McGlinn, Maureen Rome (Don), Michael McGlinn, and Edmund McGlinn. Kevin also adored his family through marriage and is survived by his mother and father-in-law, Beth and Stan Pullen and brother-in-law, Mike Pullen (Beth) and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Draper, Utah on Monday, July 12 at 10:30 am and will be followed by Mass at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association (www.abta.org) to support research for Glioblastoma Multiforme in Kevin’s memory and would be greatly appreciated.

I am so sorry to hear of Kevin’s passing and the great loss to his family and friends. Working with Kevin for 10 years we often found ourselves traveling together while living on opposite ends of the country; ship tours in Los Angeles and Seattle, meetings in inaugurals in New York and Malaga and then of course the many events in south Florida. I never knew when or where I'd see him but it was always a pleasure when I did. He will be missed dearly.
I had the wonderful pleasure of working with Kevin for many shared events between our companies. I also thoroughly enjoyed many a lively luncheon and wonderful conversations and laughs. His ever-ready smile, easy laugh, relaxed demeanor, team-player attitude, enthusiasm and grace will be fondly remembered. His absolute devotion to his family was evident in every conversation we had after the business talk. Sending heartfelt sympathy to his family during this incredibly difficult time.
In the short time that we worked together, you saw in me what most people take years to see and we didn't even work in the same city. You had a passion to teach, train and help others grow to their fullest potential. I truly appreciated our time together. Thank you for all you did. God bless and keep an eye on your friends and family from above.
To the Mcglinn Family, thank you for sharing Kevin with us. He always watched out for everyone, had the biggest heart and talked about his family and how proud he was of his kids. He was so caring and so loving and he always showed up in his white tuxedo jacket. A super class act that is gone way too soon!
I was so shocked and saddened to hear the news of Kevin's passing. I worked with Kevin for nearly 10 years at Royal Caribbean. Kevin was always a kind, gentle man and so laid back. He never let anything bother him and was a great part of our small team. He was a true sales person and always fought hard to get what his accounts needed (we used to joke about all the TV's he would give away as prizes to call center agents). Kevin left a great legacy! He was a great father, great husband, great friend and much more. I will remember him fondly - always smiling and order big steaks and a beer for dinner (we always knew Kevin would order the steak!). You will be missed Kevin. My heart and prayers go out to your family during this very difficult time. RIP!!
It is never easy losing a family member or friend, no one can lose our memories that we hold of that person. Something to cherish.
Kevin was one of our greatest reps - he made sure I knew who he was and had his contact information if necessary. Just a great person.
My heart and prayers go out to your family - he always let us know how he loved you and was so proud of all of you.
I had the pleasure of working with Kevin for many years. He was always there to help. I would tap into his vast knowledge of the online world and no matter how many times I asked the same question he would always answer with patience and a smile. He was so eager to share his expertise and it made everyone around him better. I am a better sales person today for the wisdom he freely shared. My deepest condolences to Kim, Kyle, Kendall and his entire family. May you find comfort in the wonderful memories and experiences you shared together.
I had the pleasure of working with Kevin for the last few years and supported him when I first joined the National Accounts team at Royal. He was such a kind and friendly person. You could never tell if he was having a bad day. Throughout our conversations you could tell how much love he had for his family, including his dogs. I'm grateful to have known him and extend my deepest condolences to his family.
The times that me and Kevin shared along with the Boca crew will always bring a smile to my face ,they were epic!!!!!! My deepest sympathy and prayers for his family,Heaven just gained another angel.Keep watch over us all Kevin and I will see you again on the other side!!!!! Rest In Peace my friend.
Kim, Kyle and Kendall, your father was our Royal Caribbean Sales Representative for a number of years here in our Orlando office and Kevin made a lasting impression among the entire staff since he went out of his way to make sure to stop by each of the co-workers desk to chat and make sure we had everything we needed to be successful at our jobs. We are all truly saddened by your loss and find solace in knowing he was an exceptional man and well respected in the cruise industry.
Kevin's absence will be felt by anyone who knew him. Upbeat, kind, funny, good natured and truly caring - there aren't enough words to describe what a wonderful man he was. I have never seen a more dedicated man to his job and his family and he will be missed. I send my heartfelt condolences to his family.
I will forever remember him smiling, with deep smile lines around his beautiful blue eyes - always kind, always affable, always helpful. Forever the perfect gentleman in thought, word and deed. Always willing to lend a hand, solve a problem, find a way. I consider myself fortunate to have known such a lovely human being.
Kevin was a fabulous friend and co worker for many many years at Royal Caribbean. He was always willing to share his knowledge with anyone who asked. My heart goes out to his family - I remember him telling me how much the family loved their move to Utah, he said it gave everyone the opportunity to embrace the outdoors. He will be missed.
Sending many hugs and prayers to guide you through this incredibly difficult time.
I've known Kevin since 2010, and worked with him closely ever since. His passion for his job was only matched by his passion for his family. We always shared in our common bond of our love for the Miami Hurricanes, and while we never had great football years, we both shared in the hope that they'd always get better.....next year. His drive for his work was inspiring and I loved how every time we'd be in the same place, he'd go out of his way to make sure he quickly caught up with me. All my thoughts and love are with his family during this time.
To the McGlinn Family - My sincere condolences to all of you. Kevin always was so complimentary to me and so very thoughtful. He sent me a kind thank you card expressing his appreciation to me and my team for always helping him when he reached out. Kevin always was ready to help anyone who needed it. I'm so blessed that I knew him.
He will be missed by many.
Kevin was one of the kindest people I have ever met. A loving father and loving husband who always shared stories about his family. His love for Kim was palpable every time he spoke of her and his dedication to his children unquestionable. I had the honor to work with Kevin for so many years. We always engaged in friendly competition but still managed to rule for each other. One of my last conversations with Kevin was how proud he was of all that I had accomplished and it truly touched my heart because it was pure and genuine. That was Kevin, the work dad. My heart goes out to his family in this very hard time. I know Kevin will always be here watching over all of you. My deepest condolences.
I had the pleasure of working directly for Kevin for four years. He hired me into the department that I currently work in. I know for certain that Kevin was a wonderful father because he was a wonderful boss. He was super kind, fair, and supportive. We had many personal conversations throughout the years and he loved talking about his kids. Because I was younger, he would ask about my thoughts on some family matters. I could tell he was trying to get a different perspective so he could better understand his kids. He was very thoughtful.
I know there are no words that can overcome the grief of Kevin's passing but I want his family to know that he did not just touch your lives, but the lives of many at Royal Caribbean, particularly mine. I sent him a note on his last day at our company to tell him how appreciative I was of his guidance, support, and friendship. There is a photo of Kevin and me that hangs above my office desk. I am very diligent about getting rid of clutter from my desk but that photo has always remained and it always will. A lasting memory of a kind mentor and a genuinely wonderful person that I will never forget. If there is ever anything I can do for the family my number is below.
Dear Kevin, May you Rest In Peace knowing how loved you have been. Your smile was always sincere and infectious. You will be missed dearly and I am thankful for the years I was able to work with you and know you. Your kindness and love shined always and I know you will continue shining from above. I send my love and prayers to your beautiful family.
Kevin was one of the most kind men I have ever worked with. He always had a positive attitude. He was loyal, dedicated with an infectious smile. I owe one of my biggest career moves to Kevin and his belief in my abilities. He was so supportive. He was also so proud of his kids and his family meant everything to him. I will greatly miss my conversations with him and know he is watching over us from above. Much love to his family.
Kevin was such an incredibly kind man with a wonderful sense of humor. I feel so privileged to have had the opportunity to work with Kevin for so many years at Royal Caribbean where he earned the respect of all of his travel partners and his peers. Even though he retired from Royal in early 2020, it was so wonderful to stay connected and I am grateful we had the chance to connect the week prior to his passing. Kevin was always so proud to share the wonderful moments and milestones with his family, Kim, Kyle & Kendall as they were his pride and joy. My deepest sympathies to the McGlinn family. You are in my heart and prayers.
