It is with deepest sorrow we announce the death of our precious sister and daughter, Kenna Le Sidwell. Kenna passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 in Newton, Utah after a brave journey with cancer. Kenna was born February 13,1974, in Mt. Pleasant, Utah as the third daughter to Leon and Sandra Sidwell. Kenna was raised in Fairview and lived in this amazingly good community until her health forced her to move to Newton, Utah where she could be closer to her sisters.

Kenna was a very special soul who faced many challenges. Despite this, she worked hard to grow her strengths and to serve others. She graduated from North Sanpete High School in 1993. School was hard for her but she would never give up and took on an attitude of life-long learning.

Kenna’s greatest joy was her five nieces and nephews. She admired them greatly and would celebrate their achievements. She loved to spend time crocheting crafts for them and planning gifts for their next birthdays. Ashley, Henry, Jeremiah, Sean, Alex, and Sara will miss her incredible spirit and the joy she brought to them. In many ways, because she would never have any of her own, her nieces and nephews were like her own kids. They are truly the gems that completed her family.

She loved the town of Fairview and the wonderful people loved her. The Fairview 24th of July celebration was one of her favorites and she was extremely honored to be selected as Grand Marshal in 2019.

Kenna was employed at Terrel’s market for almost 27 years. She worked to build relationships with the employees and people in the community. A huge part of her identity was with her job and the people at Terrel's. She looked forward to working each day. Leaving Terrel’s and her community she loved to take care of her health was one of her biggest worries.

Kenna was an artistic soul. She spent many hours crocheting, crafting, doing puzzles, and beadwork. Most recently Kenna mastered the art of paracord. She tied cancer ribbon awareness keychains for family members and for other cancer patients. She also loved Harry Potter. She would listen to these books and watch the movies over and over as she did her projects.

Kenna was an incredibly gentle and kind person who enjoyed having her family and friends around her. When she felt safe with someone, she loved with fierce loyalty and charity. Kenna loved her friends at Sanpete Community Training Center. The bowling and Bocce tournaments were her favorite and she looked forward to participating every year. We Remember me with smiles and laughter, For that is how I will remember you. will forever be grateful for your devotion and support with Kenna.

We will deeply miss our sweet Kenna who enriched and made our lives better with her presence. Her wish for this world is that we all leave it a little kinder and more compassionate. Please, be patient and forgiving with one another.

Kenna is survived by her father, Leon Sidwell, sisters and their spouses, Kelly and Karsten Sorensen, Cindy and Kyle England, her cherished nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Blackham Sidwell and grandparents Arlene Tucker and Fay Sidwell, Izola and Perry Blackham.

Kenna’s family would like to express sincere appreciation for her team and her many doctors and nurses at Huntsman Cancer Institute, Logan Regional Cancer Center, and Intermountain Homecare and Hospice. Additionally to all of you who visited, sent well wishes, cards, and prayers we are so thankful for your compassion and friendship.

Kenna is a special young woman. We got to know her through Special Olympics, mostly bowling and bocce. She is upbeat and encouraging to be around. She told us some of her life lessons and struggles. Her wonderful smile and pleasant personality were a joy to be around. She was a leader of the Special Olympics and set a great example.

I just listened to a few voicemails saved of your precious, upbeat voice. You are the brightest light of our family and truly left a legacy of kindness and love. You will be missed by many, my beautiful cousin.

She was such a bright shinning light in my life, always so upbeat even with all that was going on with her. She made my day when going to Terrel's. I have always loved the family, starting with Lorelle, when we came to Fairview in the 80's and bought the Day home on the Highway. Kenna was in my mutual class, as was both of her sisters, and I adored them all. Her mom taught most of my grandkids in elementary, not an easy task, but lots of years with lots of love! She will be missed so much! May God wrap His arms around you all, and comfort you! Lots and Lots of Love Mike & Reon Holden
