Kelci Anne Santy loving wife, daughter, sister, and aunt passed away March 16, 2022, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous two and a half years battle with breast cancer. Kelci was born February 25, 1988, to Philip Gary Santy and Ellen Sue Christiansen and grew up in Taylorsville. Kelci married Christopher Smith on February 11, 2011. She was a friend to all and all who knew her were taken in by her contagious smile and her beautiful red hair. She loved animals and her dogs were their children. Kelci had four brothers, Alex, Hayden, Tony (Celeste), and Bryce (Kaylee). She was a kind, tender and generous person but could be just feisty enough to handle her brothers.
Kelci worked hard to complete an Associate degree from USU and while battling cancer, a bachelor’s degree from Weber State. At times, it wasn't easy, but she was diligent and rather pleased with her accomplishments, as she deserved to be. She will be missed by all who knew her and were counted among her friends. Kelci was a staunch supporter of animal rights and female empowerment.
Kelci is survived by her husband, parents, four brothers, Chris's parents Scott and Maralyn English, Malcom, and Tammy Smith, six nephews, three nieces, and numerous friends and family, including her 2 dogs Kelly and Maxine. Preceded in death by her grandparents.
A memorial service and gathering will be held Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Le Jardin, 1910 East Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, from 2pm to 4pm.
In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite animal rescue society or perhaps adopt a rescue pet.
Sincere regards and love sent to you all. Bless you
Frankie and Jeff
