Kathryn Trieste Russell left her heavenly home and came to this world on December 20th, 1992 to Dee and Lori Russell; a wonderful Christmas present from God. She joined 2 older brothers, 4 sisters, and was later joined by 1 more sister and 4 brothers. On November 3rd, 2021 at 11:44 am (her angel numbers), she passed peacefully surrounded by her parents and siblings. She graduated from this world and joined her beloved Grandpa Burrows, Grandma Russell, her dogs Buddy, Gracie, and Sky, as well as many other family members, and our savior Jesus Christ.

Kathryn was born in Salt Lake City, UT and moved to Draper, UT when she was 3 years old where to lived out the rest of her life. She graduated from Alta High School in 2011. She began working in high school and held many positions over the years, some that earned her top sales performer accolades. Kathryn is described as a hard worker and fast learner. She made friends at every job she worked. Her favorite position was being a florist and that's where she developed a deep love for flowers. Her dream was to start a floral business of her own.

Kathryn has many talents and a cute personality. She is stubborn, but tender hearted. She is a beautiful singer and performed in local theatre and singing competitions. She even auditioned for American Idol when she was 20 years old. Music was close to her soul. She loved all musicals-Les Mis, Into The Woods, Moulin Rouge, and Phanton of the Opera were some of her favorites. She was also a dancer and was on dance company in middle school. She is a natural florist, able to put together arrangements for any occasion. In January 2021, she organized, designed, and assembled the flower arrangements for her Grandpa Burrows funeral. Floral arrangement gave her true happiness. She is also an equestrian rider, and absolutely loved horses. She got bucked off horses and always got right back on like nothing happened. What also came natural to her is doing kind things for others when they are hurting. We can recall many times she would bring a gift to a loved one when they were hurting.

She loved being with friends and they describe her as bright, energetic, beautiful and could light up any room. She loves all watersports: wakeboarding, knee boarding, paddleboarding, and getting pulled on the tube behind the boat. She always rallied everyone together to go boating. She also enjoyed rock climbing, golf with her dad and siblings, and playing jokes on everyone. Her go-to April Fool's joke was putting a rubber band on the sink sprayer and getting whoever turned on the sink soaked. Some other things she enjoyed was the annual trip to Lake Powell, going to Disneyland, and anything that involved her family. She is always up for something fun; a party or spur-of-the-moment adventure with her mom, but no matter what she's doing, her famous laugh she inherited could To love another person is to see the face of God -Victor Hugo, Les Miserables be heard from miles away. She was the life of the party with that soul piercing cackle. Her genuine laugh made you feel like a comedian, whether your joke was funny or not.

We are going to miss her dearly and there will always be a missing link in our big, loving family. She is survived by her parents, Dee & Lori Russell, 11 siblings Amie, Brooke (Dan) Sjoblom, Chandler (Tiffany), Tyler (Kally) Richman, Ashley, Ann, Christian, Rachel (Tyler) Owen, Drevon, CJ, Isaiah, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and her dog Remi. We would like to give a special thank you to the medical team at Lone Peak Hospital, as well as University of Utah MICU for caring for Kathryn in her final days. We would also like to thank everyone who generously contributed to her funeral; it has lifted a heavy burden and allowed us to give Kathryn the goodbye she deserves. Lastly, thank you to our Mom, Lori, who cared constantly for Kathryn leading up to her final days in the hospital.
