Kathleen Standiford Walker

Kathleen Standiford Walker returned to her heavenly home on October 17th, 2020 at the age of 71. Born to Frederick W. Standiford Sr. and Phyllis P. (Fryer) Standiford on July 28th, 1949 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Kathleen suffered from dementia for the past 8 years.

Kathleen was the 5th of 7 children of Frederick and Phyllis; David, Marilyn, Michael, Patricia, Sandra, Frederick Jr.

Kathleen was married to Steven L. Walker. They had one child, Kelly and one granddaughter, Isis whom they loved and adored. They lived in Holladay, Utah. 

Kathleen will always be remembered for her generosity, kindness, and service towards others. She was known for her caretaking of family members, elderly neighbors, as well as animals. 

Kathleen had a passion for gardening and landscaping. She spend countless hours working and planting in her yard for all to enjoy. 

Kathleen was a natural leader. Over her career, she worked in several different management roles. She had the ability to give guidance and direction in a kind way to those she worked with. She was never afraid of hard work. Whatever the task, she would find joy in the process.

Kathleen is survived by her son, Kelly (Ann) Walker; a granddaughter, Isis; siblings, Michael (Vicki) Standiford, Patricia (George decd) Elias, Sandy (Craig) Garritson, Frederick Jr. (Sharon) Standiford, Scott Standiford; many nieces and nephews who all love and adore her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Phyllis; her siblings, David and Marilyn; and her husband, Steven Walker. 

A family graveside service will be held Saturday, October 24th, 2020 at 1:30 PM at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery located at 3115 East Bengal Blvd (7800 South), Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121.
