Karron Shirlene McRae died on January 7, 2021, in West Valley City, Utah. She was born on August 15, 1938, in Carson City, Nevada, to Shirley John & Lea Carson Hendry. She married Dale David McRae on July 15, 1960, and was later sealed in the Temple. After years of declining health, Mom finally “called uncle” and passed peacefully from this life at home with family by her side.

First and foremost, Mom loved her family. Her greatest joy in life was spending time making memories with those she loved. She made every holiday special; whether it was coloring eggs, watching fireworks, carving pumpkins or creating gingerbread houses, we knew that we were loved. When her children were younger, she was involved in and supported whatever they were interested in and was their softball coach for many years. She spent many days supporting her grandchildren at soccer and baseball games and dance and piano recitals. She was able to form a special bond with her first great grandchild, Alex, when she was able to care for him for several years, which she treasured.

She also enjoyed the simple things in life. Mom loved gardening, shopping, Hallmark Christmas movies and a good water fight. She loved to read until her eyesight failed. She enjoyed talking on the phone with family and friends and sharing life with them. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had a testimony of our Savior.

She is survived by two daughters, Debi (Bill) and Denise (Dennis), and one son, David; five grandchildren, Nic (Stephanie), Jace, Shelbi (Jordan), Cody & Kassy (Nick); five great-grandchildren, Alex, Jaxen, Hadley, Chole & Charlie; one brother, Gary (Sandi), and two sisters, Marsha & Helene. She is preceded in death by her spouse and parents.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT 84123.
