Karoleena and her identical twin Ashlee were born on August 19, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The eldest children of Shane and Elisa Andrews, Karoleena and Ashlee were nearly inseparable their entire lives and provided their parents, family, and friends a source of great joy and love the moment they were born. They have grown up before our eyes loving princesses, swimming, reading, the outdoors, and animals especially dogs and horses. She was an incredible student with a zest for learning, books, and the theater. Karoleena loved her time at Carden Memorial School and Hillcrest High School where she was admired and respected by her teachers and fellow classmates. Her love of language, writing, and science was astounding. She was part of Hillcrest's 2021 5A State Theater Championship team with her and her sister performing an imaginative and whimsical pantomime routine. Karoleena graduated with honors in 2021 and received a Presidential Scholarship to Utah Valley University where she completed her Freshman year of study. She had aspirations to be both a veterinarian and a technical writer.

Karoleena was unfailingly sweet and kind to all. She had no animosity or jealousy and was a model of politeness, love, and compassion. This did not prevent her from pranking you with a smile. You couldn’t help but give her a hug whenever you saw her. She loved babies and children and would rarely turn down a babysitting opportunity or a chance to be around her cousins. Karoleena was a true and loyal friend finding them along the way at school, activities, church, her three years working at Lagoon, and ARUP. She was Christ-like and a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Karoleena would serve happily and joyfully in any capacity. You could always count on her! She is survived by her parents Shane and Elisa, her sisters Ashlee and Isabella, her brother Joel, her grandparents Brent and Evie Brewerton and countless loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Dean and Suzanne Andrews. Karoleena’s memory and life will live on in our hearts forever. Everyone is encouraged to share their memories of her at https://app.rakonto.io/ISRETH. We will always love you Karoleena!

Immeasurable gratitude to those who served in her care at the Loveland Clinic and LDS Hospital. You inspired Karoleena and hopefully felt the same about her. In lieu of donations or flowers, we request that donations be made to the Joy and Wellness Recreational Therapy Program at LDS Hospital where Karoleena found great emotional support and friendship during her long stays there. Please contribute at https://secure3.convio.net/ihchs/site/Donation2?df_id=1578&1578.donation=form1&mfc_pref=T and select “Bone Marrow Transplant” when prompted in the drop down boxes.

We are so sad about Karoleena. She tried her best to beat leukemia. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and Grandparents, Eva and Brent. May you be comforted at this difficult time.
